League

The BCF is responsible for the organisation of league cricket in Belgium . The league is made up of 4 divisions with 5 teams in each division and 6 teams in the fourth. The fourth division is reserved for starting teams and clubs who wish to put out a second team in the league.

On top of the national competitions the BCF also organises the Belgian national team at all levels, senior U19 / U17 and U15. They participate regularly in European tournaments and they play a number of friendlies, mostly against other European cricketing nations.

Senior Internationals

The BCF want to provide cricketers in Belgium with a good structure to play cricket. As part of this we want to give people the chance to play for the Belgian national side.

Every year the national side plays two friendly matches against France, one year in Belgium, then in France. Friendly matches against other countries are also organised, whenever possible.

The main feature on the international calendar is the ECC Trophy, a biennial tournament that offers the chance to qualify for the European Championships.

Indoor Cricket

Belgium is also a regular competitor in the European Indoor Championships. In 1999 and 2001 Belgium played host to the European Indoors, both time the competition was played in Mechelen. Especially for the younger players, the Indoor Championships can form the step up to the senior level.

The indoor variation of the game is very spectator friendly. All the action is packed into a sport hall and the games last one hour, so there is never a quiet moment. The indoor game provides players of all ages with a great way to get through the cold winter months.
