Umpiring
The Belgo-Lux Association of Cricket Umpires (BLACU) was founded by Belgium and Luxemburg's first fully qualified umpire, Bryan Rouse. BLACU organises courses for aspiring and current umpires. When they successfully complete the introductory course they are BLACU certified umpires and stand in BCF league and cup matches.
They can then take ACU&S courses in order to boost their knowledge and qualifications. After the 2001 BCF Cup Final Bryan retired from active umpiring, but still provides umpire training and organises umpiring appointments for both the Belgian and Luxembourg leagues.
BLACU regularly sends umpires to European tournaments organised by the ECC.
