After formal introductions and team photos, the first game started in the rare sunshine with both teams agreeing to play a 20 overs game with Latvian Cricket Club batting first. Some good performances were noted including Sumit's score of 79 runs including 11 boundaries for Latvia and Hollingsworth's 85 runs for Old Bedfordian CC. Latvia won by 31 runs.

With just 87 runs to get, Sumit scored the winning runs and LCC won the game by 2 wickets.  After the game, Mike Roberts congratulated the LCC for their deserved wins and awarded Sumit the winning trophy.

Sumit & Samir thanked UK Club & Mike Roberts on behalf of the LCC & Latvian audience for visiting Riga and playing the games in such good cricket spirit. Mike & the other team members of UK club thanked LCC for their hospitality & excellent arrangements as they found Riga not only great for playing cricket but also for the historical sightseeing in old Riga.  The cricket fever in Riga finally ended but the enthusiasm that was witnessed during both games from the local authorities & audience has been tremendous.

Latvian CC are looking forward to hosting more games with visiting sides from the region in July and August.
