The 2004 Midnight Cup International Cricket Tournament in Sweden held in June at Kolsva was won by the Golden Fleece Cricket Club from Gloucestershire, in a dramatic finish. Golden Fleece (77-4 and 64ao) beat Guttsta WCC (70-9 and 60-1) by 11 runs. Regional television made a news report of the event. 
Other news from Sweden: 12 year old Joachim Firm won a Slazenger InterCricket Set worth 150 euros as his prize for winning the 1st 2004 Guttsta Fantasy League competition. The intention of this prize is not only to encourage Joachim but to enable him to share the game of cricket with his friends throughout the year in informal circumstances.
