Dutch invest in new coaches
ECC Office The KNCB recently undertook a series of coach education visits from Richard Cox (ECC/ECB Tutor and Academy Director at Warwickshire CCC), in order to refresh and upgrade the standard of coaches and coaching in Holland. Two ECB Level 1 Courses ran over 2 separate weekends and involved 29 (3 female) coaches from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. The attendees were from all over The Netherlands, but the courses were held in Rotterdam and The Hague. Assisting on the course were Fazil Mahmoud and Ed de Moura Correia, both ECB Level III coaches. Commenting on the courses Richard Cox said “a team of highly motivated individuals are now keen and ready to deliver coaching programmes in clubs and with the development teams on behalf of the KNCB. I am sure as a result of 29 new coaches embarking in the grass roots of Dutch Cricket we will see increasing standards across the board as time moves on”. ICC Regional Development Officer, Philip Hudson will be travelling to Holland to assess the candidates over the weekend of 4/5 February. They will undergo an assessment in Group Coaching, Technical Modelling (Demonstrations) and a Multiple Choice Question Paper. |
