Spanish cricket coaching started 2 weeks ago during games time at a local school in Villamartin, Alicante, for boys and girls between the age of 8-12 years old. Three coaches are coaching 18 boys for the first 5 weeks and then the girls will take over for the next 5 weeks training. The groups will then be mixed and progress from there.

This is the start of cricket in schools in the south of Spain and it is hoped to expand to play other schools in the Region next year. Parents will also be invited by the AEC to send their children for cricket coaching on Saturday and Sunday mornings at La Manga during the summer months which will give them some additional practice and experience.
