Two wins out of three for Guernsey Under-10s on Dorset tour

DAY 3

Guernsey were brought down to earth with a 9-wicket defeat against a strong Dorset side at Christchurch in the final match of their tour. On a very difficult wicket, Guernsey were bowled out for just 52 and Dorset knocked off the runs for the loss of one wicket.

DAY 2

Guernsey won their second match, this time against North & West Dorset at Shillington CC.

The home side made 142 in their 35 overs, after good Guernsey bowling and fielding had restricted them to just 80 in the first 27 overs. In reply, Guernsey won by 3 wickets in the last over, Tom ap Sion top scoring with 32.

DAY 1

Guernsey's Under-10s, managed by Tim Belton, have started a 3-match tour to Dorset and opened with a very impressive 104-run win over South and East Dorset at Colehill CC.

Batting first, Guernsey made 197 for 4 in 35 overs, with Luke Le Tissier making 66. James Wilkes-Green (29) and Matthew Stokes (22 not out) also chipped in with useful runs.

In reply, the home side were all out for 93 in 18.3 overs. Felix Rice (2 for 6) George Mason (2 for 14) and Matthew Stokes (2 for 29) did the damage.
