French player receives official reprimand

Mr Khalid Abdul of France has attended a Disciplinary Hearing, chaired by David Jukes the ICC/ECC Match Referee, to answer a charge alleging two breaches of the ICC Code of Conduct:

  • Level 1.3 “Showing dissent at an umpire’s decision by action or verbal abuse.”
  • Level 1.5 “Excessive Appealing”

The incident, which was reported by the match umpires, took place during the World Cricket League Division II match between France and Israel on 6 August 2006 at the Glasgow Academicals Cricket Ground.

Having pleaded guilty, Mr Abdul received an official reprimand and was warned of his future conduct.
