PKF Wanderers win Sid Guy Trophy

Guernsey's PKF Wanderers won the Sid Guy Trophy by 135 runs against Jersey's Caesereans at College Field. The fixture is played between the two fifth-placed sides in the Guernsey and Jersey domestic leagues, as consolation for failing to qualify for the KPMG CI Club Championship.
On a belter of a wicket, and with a lightning fast outfield, Wanderers batted first after winning the toss and amassed a huge 303 for 7 in their 45 overs. Skipper Richard Veillard led the way with 86, but was supported by James Warr (53), Dave Piesing (37), Will Thompson (36) and Spencer Noyon (27). In reply, a depleted Caesereans were bowled out for 168, with only skipper Elanco (48) making a significant contribution before falling to Piesing, who then wrapped up the tail with 4 for 25
