Cronkbourne C 77 all out ( H.Rothwell 4-20, D.Ball 3-13, T.Wilson 2-25 )   Loaghtyn Rams 79 for 7. ( P.Thomas 2-15, S. Storey 2-17, B.Thomas 2-23, D.Christopher 1-23 ). Rams win by 3 wickets.

Batting first Cronkbourne made a dreadful start as impressive young leg-spinner Harry Rothwell took 4-13 in his first 3 overs while Tom Wilson chipped in with 2 victims and a run-out from the other end. This left the Tromode side struggling on 37-7 and the game looked over when Dave Ball claimed two wickets in his first over to leave them on 49-9 but a spirited last wicket stand between Steve Storey and David Thomas took the score to 77 before Dave Ball wrapped it up with his 3rd wicket. 

Loaghtyn Rams reply began well despite the early loss of a wicket and at 29-1 off 4 overs looked to be cruising with Thomas Beresford finding the boundary regularly until he was somewhat unluckily caught and bowled by Darren Christopher. Paul Thomas then took 2 quick wickets and the Rams were reduced to 46-4 and then 52-5. Two further wickets fell to leave the Rams on 69-7 but  Simon Beard sensibly nursed his team home for a 3 wicket victory to give the Rams a trophy in their first season. Praise must go to all the Cronkbourne players who never gave up and almost managed an amazing comeback.
