Hearse names final squad for HSBC Inter-Insular Challenge

Guernsey manager Dave Hearse has named the following 12-man squad for the HSBC Inter-Insular Challenge in Jersey on 2 September, as follows:-
Andy Biggins (captain)
Matt Oliver (wk)
Ami Banerjee
Justin Meades
Jeremy Frith
Stuart Le Prevost
Tim Duke
GH Smit
Gary Rich
Pierre Moody
Stuart Bisson
Aaron Scoones
Either Bisson or Scoones will play, with the final decision to be made on the day. Kris Moherndl will also travel as potential 12th man, depending on the final selected side.
Australian Justin Meades is the sole confirmed inter-insular debutant, although whichever of Bisson and Scoones is selected will also win their first inter-insular cap.
Meades and Smit were not yet eligible for the European Second Division Championships in Glasgow while Duke had to withdraw from that squad for personal reasons. Scoones was not selected for Glasgow but the remaining 8 players in the squad all took part in that tournament.
