Danish Cricket requested an early GL6 Course and Denis Burns delivered it in November. The course took place in Copenhagen. The venue was the new sports complex, a ‘state of the art’ facility, next to Broendby Stadium.

Eight candidates were in well prepared and eager to raise questions and debate the Laws in fine detail. A number of candidates had substantial experience, both in Denmark and the rest of Europe, of umpiring in a variety of leagues. The modern complex, with up-to-date IT facilities, was a first class venue organized by Bjarne Jensen.

The course was a highly organized and successful event and reflected the efficiency and expertise that is the hallmark of Danish Cricket and Umpiring. The use of the internet by Danish umpires for organizing and reporting on matches continues to advance and the latest software developed to support umpires ensures smooth organization and communication throughout the country.
