Belgium U19's in Jersey -2007
The Belgium national U19 team has come in 6th place (of 9 teams) in the 2007 U19 division 2 championship held in Jersey.
In the preliminary rounds Belgium came second, beating France and a "No Result" in a washed out game against eventual runners up Jersey with the game evenly balanced.
In the final round (places 4- 6) a heartbreaking loss by 3 runs against Israel while chasing only 106 confined us to 6th place. The tournament was eventually won by a very strong Jersey team. For full results please click HERE.
Simon Newport led the batting averages and aggregatete for Belgium with 101 runs at an average of 33.67. In the bowling department the honours where shared by Nirvan and Shalin Shah.
