In what was a difficult week due to inclement weather Belgium started there group phase with a “no result” against Malta , followed by losses of 23 runs and 11 against Cyprus and the Isle of Man respectively.  In both cases the game was there for the taking. 

Finishing bottom of there group put Belgium in the play-offs for 5^th – 8^th place.  Here they accounted for Finland winning by 69 runs and followed this up with a 38 run win over Portugal.

In the batting Shaheryar Butt comprehensively led both the aggregate and average with 184 runs at an average of 46.00. This put him fourth overall in the tournament.

In the bowling Shar Khan with 9 wickets at an average of 9.67 collected the best average and wickets taken but was ably supported by Shahid Muhammad,  Javed Iqbal and others in what was a good all round bowling effort..

The tournament was won by Croatia beating Spain by 4 runs in an epic final where at one stage Spain appeared to be easing to victory.  Full tournament details can be found by clicking HERE
