GRYCC CONTINUE WINNING FORM

In a 25 over a side indoor match, Zurich batted well to post a healthy 132 runs. Scott Fransen performed well as wicket keeper. Bowling was much improved with only a few wides although no balls were unusually high. Jai Sinh and Rory Adams bowled economically. The fielding by both sides was excellent as evidenced by a significant number of run outs.
GRYCC chased down the 132 runs with one over to spare. Fine running between the wickets kept the run rate at the required level throughout the innings. Barrett Fransen and Tom Kirby both batted intelligently resulting in their retirements and there were fine contibutions from Jamie Hadden and Rory Adams with the bat. Tom had the uneviably task of arriving as last batsman to help chase down the winning total.
An exciting and close game played in good spirit with our Zurich friends. The match was competitive and close but played in the right spirit. We look forward to another game in the near future! Many thanks to Zurich for the use of the facilities and the parents support. Also thanks to the Geneva team parents (and Ben!) who made the effort to travel,attend and support the team. Looking forward to the 2008 season!
