Course details:
The ECC regularly sends members of its highly qualified coaching team out to European countries to run coach education courses. Participants can start with a basic ECC introductory certificate, followed by an ECB Level I (Europe) certificate, devised specially by the ECB and ECC, before progressing to ECB Level I, Level II and, ultimately, Level III.
Introductory Course
This course has been designed to allow teachers, parents and coaching assistants to introduce simple techniques of cricket to absolute beginners of primary age and to use those techniques in small aided games. The 12-hour course has been specially designed for use in Europe and leads naturally onto the Level I course.
ECB Level I Europe
This course was devised as a European variation to the standard ECB Level I course, to enable non-English-speaking cricket coaches to gain a recognised basic coaching qualification. The course runs over 18 hours and is largely non-technical with the emphasis on enjoyment, basic skill development and structured group coaching. Successful participants can then attempt the ECB Level I qualification.
