Ice cricket attracts stars
Former England bowler Mike Smith and champion jockey Peter Scudamore attended the 20th anniversary of the St Moritz cricket on ice tournament, held on the frozen lake at the famous resort in February.
The famous sporting duo joined a growing list of celebrities, including former England favourites David Gower and Allan Lamb, to have visited Switzerland to play in the most bizarre of settings.
This year's winners, Old Cholmeleians - old boys from London's Highgate School, fought through a blizzard and freezing temperatures to take the trophy. An XI from the ever present Lyceum Alpinum school, just up the road from St Moritz, came second.
Smith and Scudamore turned out for Cheltenham Cavaliers, while the field was completed by another English guest side, Old Solopians.
The Alpine mountain fringed lake provides one of the most exotic and esoteric cricket venues in the world.
