Coaching team expands to four with new appointment
David Piesing
Guernsey now has four full-time coaches following the addition of locally-produced womens' U-19 county cricketer, Hannah Mechem, as a Community Cricket Coach. Hannah, who plays for Somerset U-19s and is an ECB Level 1 coach, will join the existing team and play a key role in the schools' development programme with a particular focus on developing girls' and womens' cricket. Her salary costs are very generously sponsored by Cenkos (Channel Islands) Limited.
Hannah joins the busy team of Cricket Development Manager, Jason Shambrook (ECB Level 3 coach), Performance Coach Jeremy Frith (ECB Level 3) and Development Officer Jonny Orme (ECB Level 2) in helping to deliver an extensive development and coaching programme throughout the island's schools and to the island's youth cricketers right through to the U-23 age group level.
