Frith takes up Performance Coach role
David Piesing
Jeremy Frith, an ECB Level 3 Coach with county cricket experience, took up a role in November 2007 as Guernsey's first Performance Coach.
Frith's role has two main responsibilities. The first role is to develop Guernsey's elite players at every age group from U-11s through to the seniors by introducing a comprehensive Performance Programme, while the second is to run the on-island Sub-Academy of Sussex CCC, which currently includes three U-16s (Tom Kirk, Will Thompson and Adam Hindle) and one U-15 (Matthew Renouf). Those four young cricketers periodically visit Hove to receive coaching at Sussex CCC and receive monthly coaching in Guernsey from Sussex CCC coaches Keith Greenfield (Academy Director) and Andy Cornford (Academy Coach). Between those visits Frith delivers an ongoing on-island coaching programme to the Sub-Academy players under the guidance of Sussex CCC.
Frith is also the resident coach of the senior national squad, of which he remains a key player.
