It is with great regret that Cricket Espana have to announce the resignation of Javea Cricket Club from the Northern section of the Spanish league. This is due to the club being unable to field a team on a regular basis. In accordance with league rules the other Northern league clubs will receive 17 points for each of their matches against the Javea outfit.However SACC II will still receive 18 points for their opening day victory when they beat Javea by 125 runs. 

League positions for the Northern Section as of 7th May 2008, including points awarded for Javea's unfullfilled fixtures.In accordance with CE League rule F2 Javea are deducted 10 points for each game they did not complete. They failed to complete 7 games, but because they achieved 4 points in their first game they finish the season on -66 points.
