WHAT IS THE COMPETITION ABOUTThe competition invites companies to a first class cricket venue to participate in an exclusive corporate cricket day. Participants will be joined on the day by some of the best known names in International cricket, offering players the chance to play with and against some of the true greats of this wonderful game. Complete hospitality throughout the day and into the evening ensures that this event offers a unique and innovative way of entertaining your key clients and staff. If this is not enough to encourage you to get your pads on, the National Champions from each country win an all expenses paid trip to Dubai to compete in the Corporate 20/20 World Cup which will be held at the truly amazing Dubai Sports City. The key aims of this competition are;1. Create a unique and innovative global platform from which corporations can entertain key clients and staff2. Generate sponsorship interest in the game3. Offer companies a chance to compete on the cricket field in a global event4. Promote and develop cricket partnerships in countries outside of the test playing nations5. Raise the profile of clubs within the corporate arena to generate much needed sponsorship/funds for development needs6. Offer clubs the chance to host events with mass media coverage and allow players to showcase their talents at a higher level7. Raise money for our chosen charities OUR FUTURE AIMSWe are expanding the competition all the time and intend to make this the biggest corporate cricket event ever. We have significant involvement from our partners at the Dubai Sports City and also have the support of ICC_Europe together with Mike Gatting, Managing Director - Cricket partnerships at the ECB. One of our key aims for development is the involvement throughout Europe. This we believe is where cricket has not yet reached its potential. We intend to make this happen and through corporate partnerships we firmly believe this is a step in the right direction. To achieve this we need your help. BENEFITS TO YOUThe way cricket has developed over the past few years has led to a significant number of global companies becoming involved at a commercial level. However, as is often the case the benefits of this are not often seen outside of the top clubs. We believe that by involving these companies at a playing level their interest in the game will be much greater and indeed what they will put back into the game will be much more valuable to the clubs outside of the elite. Through inviting companies to participate in a Global Cricket event they are able to fulfill their corporate requirements but at the same time put something back into the game. We are inviting countries throughout Europe to become involved in this event and host a number of corporate cricket days at your clubs. There are a number of benefits to this; 1. Revenue generated for the host club i.e. Ground hire, food/drinks sales etc2. Sponsorship of the host club from one of our corporate clients3. Media coverage4. Chance for players to compete at higher level, local professionals will be invited to play and represent the companies involved5. Development of facilities WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOUWe are expanding the competition and would like involvement from companies throughout the whole of Europe. We are looking to add a maximum of 6 countries from Europe to the competition for 2008. We are offering cricket boards the chance to become involved in this and create a successful competition in your own country. We would like to encourage as many of your members to promote this to their own companies and get them to enter a team. Teams can be made up of a selection of employees, clients or guests so the competition really is open to anyone. However it must be a company that enters the team. The competition will always be controlled by us, and the majority of work will be done by us. However we require people with local knowledge and experience of running cricket events to act as local agents. We are open to suggestions on events but will always offer our clients a core package for the day. The price of the package will obviously be carefully considered for each country. The amount of input into running this is entirely negotiable; some of you may wish to become involved full-time others may wish to do this in your spare time. Requirements of an agent; 1. Promote the competition and get companies to sign up to it2. Generate sponsorship for the cricket days3. Provide details for trusted local suppliers i.e caterers, printers etc4. Help finding suitable grounds to hire5. Assist in coordinating/event managing the day (this will be minimal) WHAT WE OFFER IN RETURNDepending on the level of involvement we will offer a variety remuneration packages ranging from a finder's fee for getting a team to participate, a flat fee based on certain work carried out to a percentage of profits for reaching certain targets. Additionally, should you have any fund raising ideas which may help with your development we would consider allowing these to take place on the day. We do however intend to run charity auctions to raise money for our charities. The matchday package includes;Package 1
