National Danish Women's Development Programme takes another step further
DCF Saturday 3rd September and the ”Girls were back in Town” for another get together in Frederica, in Jutland, as part of the ongoing National Danish Women’s Development Programme (NDWDP). 20 girls took part in the project, players gathering from all corners of the country. The weekend included a number of exciting activities, including technique training in all forms of the game, a series of mini-cricket matches, based on developing the all-round skills of the players, but in particular the new girls that have joined the project and a full 16 over competitive match to round off the weekend. Once again the weekend gave the girls the opportunity to sit down and discuss the future of the ‘Women’s’ game in Denmark. It is hoped that further training sessions based on Zealand, and Jutland over the coming months will set the girls up for their biggest goal, the four team Danish Championships in 2010. |
