Richard joined ICC in September 2003 having been a Consultant Coach since 1997 and therefore has vast experience within the program since its inception.

Richard has a long cricketing background having had a brief career as a 2nd XI player with Gloucestershire CCC and Herefordshire CCC, and then moved in to a professional coaching role with Gloucestershire CCC where he spent 7 years as Cricket Development Manager.

During this time Richard gained many qualifications in the ECB Coach Education Scheme and is currently a Level 3 Coach, Tutor and Assessor. Richard spent two years working for the England & Wales Cricket Board in their Coach Education department, and helped establish the ECB Coaches Association which services over 11,000 member coaches.

Richard has good knowledge and experience in event and tournament management having gained a BSc in Sports Studies at the University of Gloucestershire in 1992. He has managed many cricket events and tournaments.

Richard currently chairs the European Cricket Committee while being a member of the ECC Board; MCC Tours Committee; ECB Coaches Association National Forum; UKCC National Source Group.

Richard still plays cricket mainly as a MCC playing member and is a keen golfer and skier.

Philip was first employed in cricket through a Sussex CCC junior scholarship, based at Arundel Castle.

Having represented Sussex CCC 2nd XI throughout the season, he accepted a place on the MCC Young Professionals scheme in April 1995.

Over the next 5 seasons with the MCC YPs, he gained a Distinction in Leisure and Tourism GNVQ Advanced Level and obtained his ECB Coach, Senior and Advanced coaching awards. He has since gained his ECB Level 3 award and is currently an ECB Staff Tutor and Assessor for Levels 1 & 2.

For two winters he was employed in Australia as captain/coach for Ashburton CC in Melbourne and has also represented Nottinghamshire 2nd XI.

Before finishing with the MCC YCs, he worked in the MCC Indoor School, and then moved to Gibraltar to become their Cricket Development Officer in April 2000, a role which included the introduction of the schools coaching and coach education programmes.

Philip is currently on the ECB Level 4 course.

John joined the ICC in 2008 having spent the last two and a half years as Cricket Development Officer with Sussex CCC. During his time at Sussex, John was responsible for both the continuing growth and improvement of standards of cricket in schools and clubs in the East and South Regions of Sussex. In addition to this, he was also involved in the Emerging Players and Academy Programme’s and coached the Senior Sussex CCC Women’s Team who won the 2008 County Championship.

John is also involved with the Women’s England Team as Head Coach of the Super 4’s Team, Diamonds and assistant Coach to the England Women’s Academy side. Previous to his time with Sussex, John was a Coach with junior squads with Hampshire CCC.

He has a Diploma in Business Administration and is ECB Tutor Qualified. As a player he represented the Australian Combined Services, the Australian Army, played First Grade for Beenleigh/Logan in the Queensland XXXX Grade Competition and currently represents the MCC in various fixtures as well as playing for The Duke of Norfolk XI.

Louise joined the ICC as Regional Project Officer in April 2004. Prior to this she held administrative roles at the BBC and CBS Records before joining the National Cricket Association at Lord’s in 1989, which later merged with the TCCB to become the ECB in 1997. Louise has undertaken a variety of roles in cricket administration and before joining the ICC, Louise’s role in the Performance Department at the ECB consisted of organising all aspects of the England youth sides development programme of incoming and outgoing tours and coaching programmes for boys and girls at U13 to U19 levels.

Susan Lowrey

Susan joined the ICC team in September 2006 after leaving the position as Student President of the Oxford University Sports Federation. In this role she helped administer the MCC University Centre of Cricketing Excellence together with the University’s 75 other sports clubs. She held this elected position for one year after completing a BA in Biological Sciences at The Queen’s College, before which, she had studied at St. Bees School in Cumbria. A keen sportswoman, Susan enjoys playing hockey and cricket and is particularly keen to see the expansion and development of women’s cricket throughout Europe.

Denise was first employed at Lords Cricket Ground in March 2000, dividing her time between Marylebone Cricket Club and ICC European Development Program. Due to the arrival of a little daughter in 2005 she now works from home on a part-time basis, dealing with ECC accounts.

Responsible for:
• Administration of the day-to-day accounts of ICC Europe
• Registering & paying invoices, expenses & travel claims
• Maintaining records of key country financial information, budgets & reports
• Processing Europe Office financial reports for ICC head office
• Ensuring all financial documentation/practices are in line with ICC Financial Policies

Graham has been an ACU&S Full Member since 1983 and is an ACU&S Senior Instructor. He was appointed ECC Umpire Consultant in Dec 2001 and has been working with the ICC European Development Program since its inception in 1997 and has run courses in a variety of countries including Italy, Portugal, Norway, France, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Bulgaria and Slovenia.

Graham designed and wrote the ECC Introductory Course and Examination and in conjunction with the ACU&S helped design and prepare the ACU&S GL6 Course and Exam.
He is co-author of the book ‘Tom Smith’s New Cricket Umpiring and Scoring’ which was published in November 2004 and designed and wrote the ECC Scoring CD.

Graham umpires regularly throughout the cricket season covering a full range of matches from schools/youth cricket to international cricket at ECC Championships. Has had the honour of standing in a Women’s Test Match (vs. South Africa) and several Women’s ODI Matches.

He is also an International Badminton Umpire with EBU status and has officiated in many large European and World Tournaments such as The World Championships, Commonwealth Games, Thomas and Uber Cups and All England Championships. He has officiated in many countries including Switzerland, France, Netherlands, Turkey, Portugal and Slovakia.
