European Cricket Council Governance Structure
European cricket has, for a number of years, had its own forum devoted to raising standards in those countries where cricket is already established, and introducing cricket to new audiences in countries to which it has not yet reached. The European Cricket Council (ECC) was founded in 1997 with 14 member countries. Membership has increased significantly, with 27 European ICC Associate and Affiliate countries now represented, and around 13 prospective members where cricket is still in its infancy, all looking to develop the game at different levels. The ECC is the forum which provides member countries with an opportunity to shape policy through liaison with their representatives on the Board.
