No End of Season Lull in Greece!
27 November 2001
The Hellenic Cricket Federation has been extremely busy over the past month. A recent development forum generated a lot of ideas, and the Federation has been working hard to update its web presence and spread cricket beyond its headquarters in Corfu. Members of the HCF council recently met with people involved in rugby and baseball to discuss a possible new cricket ground for Athens. Costas Vassilas also ran a seminar for PE teachers. The HCF is also hopeful that Thessaloniki may soon have a new ground, following productive meetings there. Thessaloniki will also boast its own team which will visit Corfu to play indoor games against corfiot teams at the end of November. In Corfu itself, the Main Square Ground has been given a facelift with new grass which everyone is looking forward to playing on next season. In the meantime, next month sees the start of the Greek indoor championships.
