Stephen Mayland, from Ljubljana CC, was recently invited to a junior and middle school in Radovljica, some 30 km from Ljubljana, to give a short presentation to four classes of 10-12 year-olds at the school.

The English teacher invited him to give an introduction/explanation of cricket which was followed by a sports lesson for each of the four classes.

The youngsters enjoyed themselves very much, and the school has agreed to offer to the pupils a cricket course as an after school activity from September 2002.

Another school in Jesenice, further to the north, has also expressed an interest and Stephen is hoping to pay them a visit in January.
