Scotland Admitted to One-Day League
13 December 2001
The ECB have announced that Scotland will be admitted to the Norwich Union League, as the tenth team in Division Two, on an initial three-year trial basis from 2003. Their entry is subject to the SCU's commitment to the move in September 2002, and depends on the ratification of the current format of the league next year. Their matches will be played either in Edinburgh or Glasgow. Tim Lamb (Chief Executive, ECB) said: "As well as adding a new dimension to the Norwich Union League, this decision will be of great help to Scotland as they seek full ICC one-day international status."
