Bulgarian CC travelled to Belgrade on 14 September for two matches against Red Star CC on their new Flicx pitch. Anthony Monckton met them at the station and took them to the cricket ground, where the Bulgarians, exemplifying the spirit of cricket that the global game is keen to promote, presented their Yugoslav counterparts with some wine.

Bulgarian CC won the toss and decided to bat first, finishing on 107 all out after 15 overs. Red Star struggled with some good bowling from the Bulgarians and were all out by the 10th over with only 30 runs on the board. The following day, Red Star won the toss and batted first. Again, the Bulgarian bowlers showed no mercy and Red Star were all out in 18 overs having made 79 runs, a target reached by Bulgarian CC in 14 overs.
