An Australian, a South African, an Indian, several Brits and couple of Yugoslavs all got together at the British Embassy Club in Belgrade on 25 February to discuss the founding of Red Star Cricket Club.

The General Director of Red Star Sports Society has already announced the formation of the club although it will not be formally ratified until March, and has said that he is content for the players, who plan to meet weekly until they can establish a training schedule, to start using Red Star.

The players will also be liaising with local teacher, Sasa Jovanovic, who has already started introducing cricket to pupils at his school.
