The KNCB have just introduced cricket at the Dutch Sports Academy, which is attended by trainee PE teachers, in The Haque. Fifty fourth year students are now crazy about the game.

The Academy has agreed to include 40 hours of cricket in its annual programme for 4th year students from April this year. The KNCB will be targeting six other similar academies next year.

The possibility of including the Level I coaching course and exam as part of the 40 hours' tuition has also been discussed.

This will probably be the next step, and will result in the qualification of 50 new Level I coaches per year.
