Representatives from 8 mainland European Affiliate and 2 Associate countries joined a very healthy number of Scots and Irish in Glasgow over the Easter weekend for the ECC Affiliates Meeting and SCU/EDP Development Forum. The European contingent met at the Swallow hotel for a series of presentations and meetings on the Saturday afternoon, before joining forces with the UK-based delegates at Hampden Park on the Sunday for a number of keynote presentations and seminars.

Highlights included extremely useful presentations by Mike Bailey (Austria) and Andrew Armitage (Finland) on development initiatives in their respective countries, whilst the agenda submitted by Ken Sainsbury (Spain) for the Affiliates' meeting itself generated considerable discussion.

Ed Leverton and Pete Ackerley from the ECB development team both made significant contributions, with Pete's presentation of the Howzat 2nd Innings CD ROM meeting with a particularly enthusiastic response.

Congratulations to Iain Kennedy on his outstanding organisation of the event and to Scottish Cricket Limited on their very impressive Youth Cricket Pathway which was launched at the conference, and many thanks to all those who gave up their Easter weekend to attend the event.
