The Chairman's on the ball again and, several hours after the crack of dawn, bowls up to the Hotel Ter Elst to collect Mike and Bruce ñ this time without needing a push. It's back to another part of the OLVE school in Edegem.

More than 250 children join the sessions in big groups of 80 and 85 ñ and, for the first time, everything takes place outdoors. The youngster's are over the moon, the teacher's over the moon, and Mike and Bruce are on the microphone now ñ saving what are becoming badly bruised voices.

The games start and the unfortunate "Mr Cricket" is again the target for the throwing skills. One youngster manages to knock Mr Cricket clean over. The thrill is immense. The youngster grabs Mr Cricket, holds him aloft and does a spontaneous lap of honour around the playground.

By the end of the day, Mike and Bruce are being presented with thank-you cards again ñ this time signed by entire classes.

In the evening it's a brief farewell dinner in an Antwerp restaurant known for the fact that its steaks are so big they have to be turned on end to get them out of the kitchen door. Tomorrow, it's check-out time, an afternoon session at OLVE and then on up the road towards AmsterdamÖ
