Bradfield College played host for the third time to the European Development Program U16 Coaching Camp from 22ñ26 April. Twenty-four youth players attended the camp along with thirteen leaders/coaches.

Five members of the EDP coaching staff, headed by European Development Officer Adam Cole and Richard O'Sullivan, were present to ensure the smooth running of the camp. The coaching staff had a very European feel to it with Philip Hudson (Gibraltar) and David Bordes (France) on hand, alongside Gary Palmer, to put the boys through their paces.

European Development Program Ambassador Mike Gatting also visited the camp on its final day to present prizes to the participants and to take part in a question and answer session.

Programmes were put together for both the youngsters and the leaders/coaches, but the latter were also extremely keen to get involved in coaching the young players, which was great to see. Participants were able to use the wonderful facilities at Bradfield, including those outside, which gave many of the youngsters their first experience of playing on grass.

The fantastic indoor sports hall was also used, as the Easter weather was not always reliable! As usual, a great atmosphere and understanding between the participants helped the event to run smoothly. It is hoped that many of the players present will be selected for this season's two U15 tournaments in Scotland and France.
