Danish cricket fans were biting their nails when the DCF's 40 overs cup final came down to the last ball. N¯rrebro (Copenhagen) took on Skanderborg (Jutland) at Svanholm Park on the matting pitch. N¯rrebro batted first and made 188 for 6 off their 40 overs (Asad Javed 106 not out).

Skanderborg, in reply, managed to match the run rate throughout, eventually finding themselves on 182 for 9 at the start of the final over. Having made 6 runs off 5 balls, with everything hanging on the last ball of the match and all the N¯rrebro fielders in close, Tariq clean bowled Thomas Nielsen who lost his head trying to hit it over the top. 188 for 6 against 188 all out - N¯rrebro had clinched it.
