On 7 August, the EDM made a brief trip to Eton College and witnessed the second victory in two days by the Irish U17s over their younger, yet highly talented, ECB U15 opposition during a series of international friendly matches.

Both games were played in a competitive spirit and the three-day game, a novelty to both sets of players, due to take place later in the week, is eagerly awaited.

The Danish U17s had the previous week played against the same England age group team, finding the opposition very challenging yet learning a great deal from the experience.

This series of matches, in its inaugural year, is the first of a four-year cycle which will undoubtedly benefit European cricketers at this age level and beyond.
