Highly successful weekend for youngsters in Spain
A training weekend was held on 10-11 February for youngsters hopeful of making the Spanish U15 squad for the ECC U15 Tournament in Germany in August. Some 25 hopefuls attended from schools in Alfaz del Pi and Jávea and as far afield as Aloha College, Marbella, including a number of Spanish Nationals and one young lady (well done Melanie!). More…

Cricket ‘erupts’ at the foot of Etna!
A series of visits to Italy by ECC Coach, Richard O'Sullivan, began in mid-January with a week on the beautiful island of Sicily. In only three years the city of Catania, which has Mount Etna as a backdrop, has created two senior clubs who play in the national cup and league. A great deal of youth cricket is also played and there are plans to organise a women's league in 2001. ECC U15 Coaching Camp - Bradfield College, 29 March - 2 April

International Level III Course- Lilleshall 6-13 May 2001
The EDM attended the Thursday and Friday of this course, which brought together an array of cricketing cultures and experience.
