Launch of New Cricket Facility at La Manga, Spain
To celebrate the opening of a superb new cricket facility at La Manga, Spain, a 20/20 competition, spread over 5 days, was arranged by the Club Cricket Conference with support from P&O, which included teams from the CCC, a League CC X1, a Midlands CCC X1, Guildford CC, Maori Oxshott CC, a Celebrity X1 and a Spanish National X1. more…
Israel domestic season comes to an end
The ICA Cup final, played last weekend between Ashdod A and Lions Lod, brought down the curtain on the 2003 domestic season. The success story of the season were Lions Lod, who won the Cup in emphatic fashion, and in so doing completed the domestic double, having secured the Premier League title last month. more…
Bulgarian Cricket Federation 'Cricket Friends' project up and running
On 10-12 November the Bulgarian Cricket Federation held its first introductory mini cricket course for PE teachers. The course was part of the "Cricket Friends" project, aimed at fostering the game in schools. The course took place on the indoor playground at Sofia University Post Graduate Department, and was attended by 10 PE teachers from the towns of Pernick, Pleven, Dupnitsa and Sofia. more…
2004 ICC Champions Trophy, England
The ECB and ICC have announced that The Oval, Edgbaston and Hampshire's Rosebowl will stage the 15-match ICC Champions Trophy from 10-15 September 2004. Teams will be seeded for the tournament on the basis of their official ICC One-Day International ranking on 1 December 2003. more…
Stars Shine Bright - Again
Luxembourg's Star CC rounded off a remarkable year by winning the 2003 LCF-Crosscom league, becoming the first team to lift the trophy twice. This win followed success in the Val Glover 2003 cup (contested by Luxembourg's top 3 teams) and a narrow 1 run defeat in the six-a-side final. The Star team won all its league matches, with all players contributing significantly. more…

Despite temperatures not far above freezing, and heavy rain, six teams (national champions Bulgarian CC, national runners up Medical University Sofia, National Sports Academy, Technical University Varna, Transport University Sofia, and Blagoevgrad) turned out for Bulgaria's MobiCom Cup on Saturday 18 October. more…
Finland's FCA holds biggest ever Annual Awards Dinner
On Friday 24 October, players, representatives and guests from the 11 teams that contested the 2003 Finnish League championships converged on downtown Helsinki at the Lord Hotel for the FCA's Annual Awards Dinner. The event was the largest ever staged by the FCA, with over 110 people attending, and was further evidence of the growing popularity of cricket in the north-end of Europe!. more…
