GCC suffered their first league defeat of the season at the hands of Calpe CC, whilst Grammarians came back from the brink of defeat to win their encounter against PGCC.

Holders Grammarians will face Calpe CC, who have never won this trophy, in the Murto Cup Final on 17 September. The Murto Cup is the oldest trophy held by the Gibraltar Cricket Association, dating back to the 1920's.

GCC maintained their unbeaten record in a close tussle with Grammarians on Staurday. In the other match played a century by Steven Gonzalez and a five wicket haul by Akhil Viz gave Calpe CC a comfortable win against PGCCC.

PGCC, newcomers to Senior cricket this season, recorded their first win of the seaon on Saturday 30th. July against UKCCC. They were indebted to a fine innings of 98 by Nitin Jain.

Gibraltar's Under Nineteens won all five of heir matches to lift the Second Division Chapionship Shield. Six of their batsmen topped 100 runs, and this depth of batting was a major key to the team's success.
