Since late 2004 the GCB has employed former England Test all-rounder and very successful Leicestershire CCC coach, Jack Birkenshaw, as its Technical Director on a part-time basis. Jack works with the island senior side and with the age group sides on his frequent visits to Guernsey, as well as with the island’s qualified coaches.

On an ongoing basis Guernsey is fortunate to have several highly-qualified resident coaches. Mike Kinder is a qualified ECB Staff Coach while Ami Banerjee (who has played first-class cricket in India) is an ECB Level 3 coach. Jason Shambrook has recently passed his ECB Level 3 course, while we also utilises the services of Jeremy Frith (ECB Level 3 coach and former England Under-19 cap).

Following last winter's coach development courses held in Guernsey and Jersey, Guernsey now has a total of 34 qualified coaches (ECB Levels 1, 2 or 3).
