The Guernsey Cricket Board was founded in May 2004 to become the overall governing body of Guernsey cricket ahead of Guernsey’s application to become an Affiliate Member of the ICC. This application was duly accepted by the ICC in July 2005. The Board was incorporated into a company limited by guarantee on 30th March 2006.

The Guernsey Cricket Board has submitted applications to enter the following ECC tournaments in 2006:-

• Seniors (in Scotland, 3-9 August)
• Under 17s (in Israel, 18-24 August)

These two tournaments will mark Guernsey’s debut in ECC tournament cricket.
