Danny Kniveton was the leading run scorer with 839 in all cricket while Garreth Roome took 39 wickets which proved to be the highest total by any one bowler. Pete Richards scored 163 runs in Island representative games while Gareth Morris' 175 was the best individual innings of the season.

The Standard Bank sponsored Isle of Man team returned home from La Manga with two excellent victories against Spain under their belts following two great performances at the weekend. On Saturday a top innings from Gareth Morris saw the Island home by 5 wickets while a score of 258 for 4 and 3 early wickets for Scott Pearce brought a victory by 173 runs on Sunday....SEE PHOTO GALLERY

The team will play 2 International 50 overs games against Spain on Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October and there are also two 45 overs games against a Costa Blanca XI on Monday 2nd October and Tuesday 3rd October..............

St John's retained the Tinker Cup on Sunday when they beat Cronkbourne in a low scoring game at Tromode by 4 wickets. The Saints made it three in a row mainly thanks to a partnership between Ewald Kilian and Jon Norrington after they had been rocked by two early wickets......

Gareth Morris was in staggering recor-breaking form in Tuesday night's Cain League match against Ramsey. The Castletown man hit a staggering 19 sixes in an innings of 175 as the 'Town racked up a score of 270-2. He also took 34 off just one over in his epic innings. This followed a win over St John's and victory in the Sixes for 'Town....see report
